Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Takes On Artist Murs in Premier League Forecasts

Arsenal's 10-game winning streak was ended by the Black Cats before the global hiatus, however can the English top division frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated football expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.

In week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

The singer's new record, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a player.

"{I actually played in a benefit game the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his spouse his partner have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I won't push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their Saturday soccer team," he said.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a period too.

"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to be patient for their star's comeback from injury but their offense is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this fixture will be fairly tight, however. The Clarets are well organised and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's only away win this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - can the Hammers extending their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign started, but they have impressed a several people under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four matches.

My son advised me to get Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the travel this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at their stadium. The visitors will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually turns out to be rather close. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

Fulham have have lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.

Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not seen any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the close of last month.

However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I truly need to continue opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their positive results because they evidently love to prove me wrong.

Looking at the home side's home form, the only team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a good result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a bad streak... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard one to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
