It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the peak baggers, are all that remain for a side that has accomplished all there is.

It needed until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the largest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over five decades.

It is hard for their hitters to maintain a record if not provided the opportunity.

Many contend the argument supporting final game tension. Different voices suggest with the test that comes when confronting a historic chase and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's definite is this hundred was far harder to predict.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 occurred when she led the batting statistics, but this innings came after six matches in India since the start of last month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in training, it has been a disappointing period because I feel like my form was missing at all," commented Healy.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, fallen to the 22-year-old seamer in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's spark.

One run resulted off the opening delivery and from there the right-hander was underway.

"An opportunity to take the field and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, kind of motivated me," stated Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her quickest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

By the time she was dismissed Australia needed 66 more at one run per ball - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the confidence to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, if we do, we are confident we can achieve it."

Those words will be the last rival teams at this tournament want to hear.

In recent days a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has grown stronger - this triumph following victory over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.

During that phase they were eliminated from the previous year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to ruptured tissue in her foot as she led her country for the initial instance at a major tournament.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she regretted not playing with the discomfort.

However although she subsequently acknowledged those physical issues have pushed back consideration of ending her career, this tournament is likely to be her concluding event as leader in ODI cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a global event as leader.

Victory in India would lead her to the peak of her last major obstacle.
