The Renowned Musician Urges Backing to Get Together for Palestine Song to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A campaign is aiming to send a cultural melody to the Christmas number one spot. The campaign hopes to provide aid to Gaza's residents while also highlighting Palestinian artistic heritage.

A Possibility for Support and an "Unlikely Coup"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who performs on the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a opportunity to stand with Palestinians over the Christmas period. He noted the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“It would be fantastic if that happened, yes,” he said. “I wouldn't be completely disappointed if it fails to, Christmas singles are a thing unto themselves.”

Defiant Message of Freedom and Dignity

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who performs on the version of a folk song called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's defiant core message.

“The song holds a very special place for countless listeners,” Barghouti said. “The essence is that I would choose to perish with honor than live a life without freedom. That’s the main theme of the song; we seek to lead a dignified life that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Recording Origins and Contributing Musicians

The single was laid down following a solidarity show held in the autumn. First conceived to be performed and recorded live, the piece was cut from the show due to time constraints.

The impressive roster of performers appearing on Lullaby encompasses a group of prominent voices from the industry. All took part in the earlier concert, which successfully generated a significant sum for relief efforts.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was crafted by a group of talented individuals. The track blends a combination of the heritage language with new English lyrics.

The organizers behind the initiative have emphasized that their objective is to collect the highest amount for a specific fund. These resources will be channeled to Palestinian causes through an established charity.

“There is no a rigid aim,” a figure explained. “We will pursue whatever we can get. Of course, the greater the amount, the better. Every penny goes out to Gaza.”

The reality in the region was noted for its profound destruction, with a huge proportion of infrastructure reportedly levelled or seriously harmed.

“Given that reality, a handful of millions is unlikely to make an enormous impact. But I think what does make a difference is primarily raising awareness for this issue and demonstrating there’s another side to the story.”

The song is set to be released this Friday. Additionally, a video of the charity concert will be made accessible to view on a major video platform from the 19th of December.
