Vince Zampella, Has Died in an LA Vehicle Accident

The co-creator of Call of Duty, the mind behind the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.

The influential video game developer died after his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a highway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.

"This is a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
